Using a windows reg cleaner could change your life! I used to suffer from a terminally slow computer. PC taking ages to start up – long enough to go and make a cup of tea, and still not be ready to run when I return! Programs being extremely slow to open up, close, or do anything. And as for trying to find a program with Windows explorer – I could have easily given up in despair, many times. Any of this sound familiar? Welcome to the club!
If you are really unlucky, you may even have suffered from ‘blue-screen hell’. Then you know you are in trouble!
Fortunately, there is a way to regain your PC’s former speed. The root of the problem is usually that the registry gets stuffed full of unnecessary junk and errors, just by using the PC normally. In case you don’t know, the registry is part of the Windows operating system which contains all of the settings used to do anything – from opening programs, to running hardware (like monitors, disc drives, printers etc), to accommodating the fact that your screen name has a Star Wars screen saver, while your partner’s has one based on the Chippendales!
Errors creep into this registry very easily, many of them from software packages which have bugs in. When this happens, all the processes of the PC start to slow down, and in the worst cases can stop working completely.
The solution is to find the errors and fix them. Most people (me included) are too cowardly to try to fix the errors themselves, although I do know of some brave souls who have tried (and succeeded). For me, the risk of making things a million times worse by mistake just wasn’t worth it. Not to mention that time is money. How many hours would I have had to struggle to find a solution, when I could buy a windows reg cleaner package for less than $50, and fix all the problems in minutes.
I looked at 8 of the most popular windows reg cleaners to see which was best. I downloaded the free scans and looked at the result. What a variation! One of them wouldn’t even run, as my Virus scanner detected it as a threat, and put it straight in the virus vault! Of the other 7, the best, Registry Easy, found 1469 errors on my PC in under 5 minutes! As it also seemed to have a simple to use interface, this is the windows reg cleaner which I bought. And I have to say, I’m very happy with it. After paying for it, it managed to fix all of the 1469 errors in a few minutes. And after restarting, my PC became much faster at doing all the key things – opening programs, finding files, etc.
I’d thoroughly recommend that you buy and run a good windows reg cleaner. I’ve read other good reports about Registry Easy as well, so it’s not just my opinion that it’s good, but if you want to run your own test, the other two windows reg cleaner packages which appeared to be good and have good write ups on the net:
Error Nuker
This didn’t find so many problems on my system, but many people seem to think it’s great.
and
Registry Fix which found nearly as many errors as Registry Easy, but seemed a bit slow running the free scan.
So now you see, a windows reg cleaner can really change your life for the better, by stopping a terminally slow computer from driving you crazy. In my case, Registry Easy worked fast, and I’ve regained a lot of the speed that I thought my PC had lost for ever! So do your self a favour and get back the speed you’ve been missing.

Registry cleanup software – regain your PC’s speed
Can registry cleanup software really help you realise your dream of restoring your PC’s performance? It’s easy to think that you memory is playing tricks on you. Was your PC really faster at starting up, opening and closing programs, and closing down when it was new? The answer is almost certainly ‘Yes!’. So why has it slowed down so much now? Computers don’t suffer from old age, do they?
All the components of your computer probably still function just as they did the day you bought it. The only thing that’s changed is that you’ve used it, filling it up with files and new programs. For Windows 98, Microsoft invented the famous registry, which is really just a huge database which contains all of the information which the system uses to run applications, deal with hardware (e.g. hard drives, monitors etc) and accommodate different users. Unfortunately, when you think about the potential number of different combinations of software, users and hardware, you quickly realise that the registry can easily become enormous. And it does – with a detailed set of data for every program, user or printer that you have.
When errors start to appear in the registry, they can easily slow a PC down, or even prevent it from functioning correctly. A single wrong entry, for example, could stop you from accessing your local network completely.
So how can registry cleanup software help? Well it IS possible to fix the registry yourself – you just need to know how to edit the registry, how to find the particular entries which are causing problems and what their correct values should be. I’ve had a look into this, and to me it just isn’t worth it. Due to its’ size, finding the correct key to change seems virtually impossible, and as for knowing what to change it to – I just gave up. Also there is the very real risk that you will make a mistake, and screw up your PC even more.
So the obvious question is, which registry cleanup software package should I use? There are so many, and they all seem to give different results. In the end, I decided to try the free downloads from 8 of the most popular packages. Unbelievably the number of errors they found varied from 217 to 1469. I could I not believe that all of them found over 200 problems with my PC, and I was even more stunned to find that one registry cleaner found nearly seven times more errors than another one.
In the end, I picked registry easy. It found the most errors on my PC, and it seemed to be pretty easy to use. All of the registry cleanup software products which I tested seemed to cost the same, so I thought that more errors found must be better!
Since I ran registry easy, my PC is much faster at starting up, closing down, and opening programs etc. And every week it runs a new scan, where it finds still more errors, which it corrects. The only other thing which I also do, to keep everything running as fast as possible, is delete the contents of the temporary internet folders every week. If you do a lot of surfing, you can generate thousands of these temporary files, and their presence seems to slow things down even more.
Overall I’m very pleased with registry easy. Considering the improvement it’s made (and the risks / difficulty of fixing the registry by hand) it has been great value for money. Of all the registry cleanup software I looked at, registry easy certainly seemed to be the best, and the results speak for themselves!
